Fypryst combo dog 10-20 kg (against fleas, ticks)
Fypryst combo dog 10-20 kg is a modern means of preventing and destroying fleas, ticks, blisters and lice in dogs.
It is used for the treatment and prevention of entomoses caused by fleas, lice, and hair eaters; acaroses caused by ixodes mites; in the complex therapy of allergic dermatitis caused by fleas, as well as to prevent the attachment and development of ectoparasites on animals. Due to the presence of the insect growth regulator S-methoprene, it causes abnormalities in the development of fleas at the egg and larval stages, preventing the appearance of sexually mature fleas on animals and in their places of detention.
Fypryst combo refers to combined contact-acting insecticidal medicinal products. It contains fipronil and S-methoprene as active ingredients.
- Fipronil is an insecticide of the phenylpyrazole group, the mechanism of its contact action is to block GABA-dependent arthropod receptors, disrupt the transmission of nerve impulses, which leads to paralysis and death of ectoparasites.
- (S)-methoprene is an analog of juvenile hormone, an insect growth regulator; disrupting chitin synthesis, it causes developmental anomalies of insects at the egg and larva stages, and prevents the appearance of sexually mature insects on animals and in their places of detention.
Fypryst combo is active against: fleas (mature and preimaginal phases of development) Ctenocephalides spp.; hair eaters Felicola subrostratus, Trichodectes canis; ixodes ticks (all phases of development) Dermacentor variabilis, Rhipicephalus sanguineus, Ixodes scapularis, Ixodes ricinus, Ixodes holocyclus, Haemaphysalis longicornis, Haemaphysalis flava, Haemaphysalis campanulata, Haemaphysalis leachi, Amblyomma americanum; Aedes aegypti mosquitoes; sarcoptoid mites Sarcoptes scabiei var. canis. After application to the skin, the active ingredients are gradually distributed over the entire surface of the animal's body within 24 hours, practically not absorbed into the systemic bloodstream, accumulate in the epidermis, hair follicles and sebaceous glands, have a long-lasting contact effect, protecting the animal from ectoparasites.

Dosage form: solution for external use. Fypryst combo in 1 ml contains fipronil - 100 mg and S-methoprene - 90 mg (for dogs) or 120 mg (for cats and ferrets) as active ingredients, as well as excipients: povidone K25, polysorbate 80, butylhydroxyanisole (E320), butylhydroxytoluene diethylene glycol monoethyl ether
Fypryst combo is applied to animals once by topical application (spot-on) applied to dry, undamaged skin using pipettes of various packaging. Before treatment, the tip of the pipette is pierced with an inverted cap, the animal's fur is pushed apart in the back area (between the shoulder blades) and, pressing on the pipette, the drug is applied to the skin in the withers area at one or more points at a minimum dose of 0.067 ml/kg, according to the table:
For the treatment of dogs weighing more than 60 kg, a combination of pipettes of different volumes is used. For the treatment of cats weighing more than 10 kg, 2 pipettes with a volume of 0.5 ml are used.

A single treatment of the animal ensures the destruction of fleas and ticks within 24 and 48 hours, respectively. The protective effect of the drug against ixodes mites continues in cats, dogs, and ferrets - up to 4 weeks; against sexually mature and preimaginal phases of insect development - in cats and ferrets – up to 6 weeks, in dogs - up to 12 weeks. A contraindication to use is the increased individual sensitivity of the animal to the components of the drug (including in the anamnesis). It is forbidden to use Fypryst combo in animals with infectious diseases and weakened animals, puppies and kittens younger than 8 weeks of age, dogs weighing less than 2 kg, kittens weighing less than 1 kg, and ferrets aged less than 6 months. The drug can be used for pregnant and lactating bitches, and pregnant cats. The drug is not recommended for lactating cats with kittens younger than 8 weeks of age. There is no data on the safety of using the drug in lactating and pregnant female ferrets; therefore, the drug is used in this group of animals under the supervision of a veterinarian.
