Milprazon dog over 5 kg (Against worms)
Milprazon dog over 5 kg - combined anthelmintic medicine in tablet form for dogs weighing at least 5 kg.
It contains milbemycin oxime and praziquantel.
It is used to treat mixed infestations of roundworms and tapeworms, including common intestinal parasites.
It may also be used for the prevention of heartworm disease when treatment against tapeworms is required at the same time.
The medicine is intended for oral administration and has a meat flavour, making the tablet easier to give to the dog.
Milbemycin oxime – 12.5 mg
Praziquantel – 125 mg
Administer orally as a single dose during feeding or immediately after a meal. The dog’s body weight should be determined accurately before use.
Dosage:
5–25 kg – 1 tablet
Over 25–50 kg – 2 tablets
Over 50–75 kg – 3 tablets
The minimum recommended dose is 0.5 mg of milbemycin oxime and 5 mg of praziquantel per 1 kg of body weight. For the treatment of certain parasitic infections and the prevention of heartworm disease, the dosage schedule should be determined by a veterinarian.
Milprazon is usually administered as a single dose to treat an existing infestation of roundworms and tapeworms. It does not provide long-term protection against reinfestation. For the prevention of heartworm disease, it is administered monthly according to a schedule prescribed by a veterinarian.
Contraindications
Do not use in dogs weighing less than 5 kg.
Do not use in cases of hypersensitivity to milbemycin oxime, praziquantel or any of the excipients.
