Milprazon dog up to 5 kg (Against worms)
Milprazon dog up to 5 kg - combined anthelmintic medicine in tablet form for puppies and small-breed dogs weighing from 0.5 kg.
It contains milbemycin oxime and praziquantel.
It is used to treat mixed infestations of roundworms and tapeworms, including the most common intestinalparasites.
It may also be used for the prevention of heartworm disease when treatment against tapeworms is required at the same time.
Milbemycin oxime – 2.5 mg
Praziquantel – 25 mg
Administer orally as a single dose during feeding or immediately after a meal. The dog’s body weight should be determined accurately before use.
Dosage:
0.5–1 kg – ½ tablet
Over 1–5 kg – 1 tablet
Over 5–10 kg – 2 tablets
The tablet may be given directly into the dog’s mouth or mixed with a small amount of food. For the treatment of certain parasitic infections, the dosage schedule and duration of use should be determined by a veterinarian. Do not use in puppies younger than 2 weeks or in dogs weighing less than 0.5 kg.
Milprazon is usually administered as a single dose to treat an existing infestation of roundworms and tapeworms. It does not provide long-term protection against reinfestation. For the prevention of heartworm disease, it should be administered monthly only according to a schedule prescribed by a veterinarian.
Contraindications
Do not use in puppies younger than 2 weeks.
Do not use in dogs weighing less than 0.5 kg.
Do not use in cases of hypersensitivity to milbemycin oxime, praziquantel or any of the excipients.
